A Collect for Clubwomen 

Keep us, oh God, from pettiness;
Let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.
Let us be done with fault-finding
And leave of self-seeking.
May we put away all pretense
And meet each other face to face,
Without self-pity and without prejudice.
May we never be hasty in judgment
And always generous.
Let us take time for all things;
Make us to grow calm, serene, gentle.
Teach us to put into action our better impulses,
Straightforward and unafraid.
Grant that we may realize it is
The little things that create differences,
That in the big things of life we are at one.
And may we strive to touch and to know
The great, common human heart of us all.

OBJECT

The object of the GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green shall be to bring together all women of the city and vicinity for their own benefit and the benefit of the community.

MEETINGS

General meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. – September through May except January when there is no meeting and May when the annual breakfast is held on the first Saturday in May.

BOARD MEETINGS

Board meetings are on Monday of the week preceding the general meeting – August through May.

DUES

$55 per year including state and international.

MOTTO

“Not for Self, But for Others”

The GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green awards two scholarships a year.  One to a music student at BGSU and one to a graduating senior at Bowling Green High School.  The Club also donates to the BG Food Pantry and Cocoon shelter on a regular basis throughout the year.  We have been sponsoring the Annual Creative Writing Contest for students in Bowling Green schools for 30 years.
